Chief Executive Officer, Paulius Stankevicius of Stankevicius International says COVID-19 will keep affecting markets until 2021

The World Leadership Conference webinar organized by Ayla Aldjufrie took place on 8th of April 2020. The topic of the event was an overview of the coronavirus situation affecting global markets and how businesses are reacting to COVID-19.

The online conference had dozens of participants globally, mostly owners and CEOs from around the world.

COVID-19 makes the market situation difficult at the moment, but business owners and entrepreneurs need to think beyond the current situation and keep focusing on the future. As for the current situation, a lot of companies from different industries are jumping into the medical supply industry just because the market of medical is so hyped and huge right now.

Paulius Stankevicius, CEO of Stankevicius International Limited, said that the COVID-19 situation may last until the end of 2020 and may also drag 2021 as vaccines may take time to produce for the entire world’s population. “We are looking at a long term economy crisis, but we have to adapt and adjust to the current market situation and innovate to survive”,- said Paulius Stankevicius.

COVID-19 brings bearish markets yet it also brings new opportunities within the medical supply industry and even the technology industry, for example drones are being used in Dubai to clean streets. Additionally, as most of the people are working from home remotely that involves a lot of technology usage, various softwares and online tools.

How companies and entrepreneurs are going to manage the crisis will depend on their managerial ability to adjust to new market conditions. That to be seen during the year, considering right now it’s just the end of the first quarter.
